Robertson courses are taught by industry-leading professionals who have years of experience working in their field. Robertson programs are typically one year or less but vary slightly. When you graduate from a Robertson program, you’ll receive an accredited diploma.
All About Robertson College’s Campus For International Students
While Robertson has several campuses across Canada, international students have the opportunity to study at the Winnipeg campus.
The Robertson Winnipeg campus is located at 180 Main Street, which is centrally-located with easy access to the downtown core. It’s located on major bus and cycling routes and there’s monthly and street parking available on surrounding blocks. Coffee shops, eateries and nightlife can all be found within walking distance.

What Programs Are Offered at Robertson College For International Students
Robertson is continuously updating and improving on the programs available for international students.
Currently, international students can choose from two programs in Robertson’s School of Health;
The Massage Therapy International Program is a 120 week diploma program that runs from Monday to Friday. The course curriculum provides research and evidence-informed education that meets the National Standards in all areas of the program.
During this program, you’ll study at the Winnipeg campus and have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with your classmates and instructors. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in a 20 week practicum where you’ll receive hands-on experience in a workplace.

The Medical Laboratory Assistant International Program is a 44 week diploma program that runs from Monday-Friday. The course curriculum will teach you how to safely collect and receive blood, tissue, and other samples from patients. You will also learn how to log samples and prepare them for testing, perform routine tests and sample analyses, and set up, clean, sterilize and maintain laboratories and equipment.
During this program, you’ll study at the Winnipeg campus and have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with your classmates and instructors. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in a 6 week practicum where you’ll receive hands-on experience in a workplace.

The International Student Experience At Robertson College
Robertson is proud to welcome hundreds of international students to its Winnipeg campus each year. You can expect to feel welcome and safe. Robertson prides itself on inclusivity and diversity, as you’ll notice on their social media channels.
As an international student at Robertson, you’ll have access and support from the International Student Services department. Their role is to help you adapt to Canada while you move through your schooling and help you find meaningful work after you graduate.
You may notice learning in Canada is different from what you’re used to back home. For example, students are encouraged to have open discussions with their instructors and challenge them on various topics.
Another key difference to student life at Robertson is that all courses are very hands-on. This means you’ll be applying what you learn rather than just reading from a textbook.

How Do I Apply To Become An International Student At Robertson College

But first, here’s some of the requirements needed to apply for as an international student at Robertson College:
- Must be at least 19 years of age and one year out of high school
- Must complete a successful interview with Robertson College
- Must successfully complete the Reading and Writing Accuplacer units with a minimum score of 245 in each unit
- Must successfully complete the Robertson Biology Entrance Assessment
- Must clear a Criminal Record Check
- Must clear a Vulnerable Sector Check
Additionally, to attend a Robertson diploma program as an international student you must first complete the English Language Requirement. This is only necessary if English is not your first language.
